The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals provide a simple set of key issues for any organisation wanting to understand its impact in a global context. Prenax has set a roadmap towards 2030 with annual review of targets and improvements. We focus on all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) but select key SDG’s for each year to link them with direct actions and to raise awareness among employees, stakeholders and customers.

We continually review our business against the SDGs to ensure we are helping to drive forward these goals. In our roadmap for 2030 we align both SDG's and ESG commitments, highlighting which areas we as a business are addressing.

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary multi stakeholder platform which convenes multinational companies to align against ten principles covering environment, anti-corruption, human rights and labour standards. Through the Global Compact, signatories share best practice in order to become better, more sustainable organisations. This commits our organization to meet fundamental responsibilities in four areas: human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

As a participant of the UN Global Compact, we support the 10 principles of the Global Compact and are committed to making them part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of the firm. Our annual Communication on Progress, is a public disclosure to stakeholders on progress made in implementing the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, and in supporting broader UN development goals.

UN Forward Faster Initiative

The UN Forward Faster Initiative is a global platform launched by the UN Global Compact to accelerate corporate action towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The initiative focuses on five key areas where businesses can make the most significant and rapid impact:

Gender Equality
Promoting inclusive workplaces and ensuring gender parity to enhance profitability and performance

Climate Action
Encouraging companies to set science-based targets for net-zero emissions, aligning with a 1.5°C pathway to mitigate climate change.

Living Wage
Ensuring fair wages across the workforce to reduce inequalities and build resilient supply chains.

Water Resilience
Improving water efficiency and reducing supply chain disruptions, particularly in water-stressed regions.

Finance & Investment
Shifting corporate capital towards sustainable development to close existing financing gaps.

The initiative aims to increase accountability and transparency by requiring companies to publicly declare their commitments and report on their progress annually. We have chosen to participate, as it goes hand in hand with our commitment.
